DESCRIPTION: EPW - Barraud & Lunds, 12 Bishopsgate, London, keyless free-sprung lever fusee, 50mm, heavy 18K gold original demi-HC bearing London hallmarks for 1907, "J W" marking in oval cameo for casemaker Joseph Walton, cream colored enamel SS dial, SW-pin-set with retained KWKS arbors, fully capped lever escapement, free-sprung balance with diamond endstone, at least 19J, gilt mvt with ornately engraved raised step over barrel, s#3/5071 with matching serial number to dial and within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 81.4 dwt (126.5 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, upper plates with few typical micro-fine scratches, dial plate with group of fine to micro-fine patches to perimeter outside fourth wheel; nearly flawless dial with some unevenness of surface glaze appearance at perimeter between 11 and 2; excellent hands; case shows light wear, fine to micro-fine scratches to rear, small nick near center rear and at upper right perimeter of rear, front leaving small sliver of gap to band around upper portion when closed, blue enameling of demi chapter is fully intact; tight bow, crown shows medium wear with ridge break; good inner glass crystal, glass demi-HC crystal with short scratches at center.
